The Project Sponsor Series

Twelve volumes · four governance roles

Circino

Circino is the constant across every volume. The same field companion, reading whichever book you hold, carrying its material into the situation in front of you — and saying so when a question sits outside it.

The Uninitiated Project Sponsor

Written for people handed accountability for capital projects without being handed the craft. Five chapters on the parts of sponsorship nobody briefs you on.

The book ends each chapter with a question. Circino is where you answer it.

Circino carries the same material into your actual situation — your report, your gate, your risk conversation — one question at a time.

Ask Circino

Start from one of the book's five Digital Bridge prompts, or bring your own.

Grounded

Every answer comes from the manuscript, its diagnostics and its field reference — and cites where. Not a general assistant with a book-shaped prompt.

A companion, not an advisor

Circino asks before it concludes. The work is yours; it holds the structure while you think, the way a good project director would.

Yours to keep

Sessions stay in your account, exportable and deletable. Nothing you bring is used to train anything or shared without your say.

Five places the book hands over to you

Each chapter closes on a prompt. These are the prompts, verbatim — bring any of them and your own situation.

The pattern
An augmented partnership, starting with a book

Everything AutoniVest builds follows the same pattern: proven practice, written down, then made answerable to the situation in front of you. It starts at the scale of one reader and one decision — and it does not stay there.

01
Foundational layer
The volume for your role, and a working partner

You read the volume written for the role you hold. Then you ask Circino about your own situation — this report, this gate, this risk conversation — and get an answer grounded in the same material and in the field experience of practitioners who have been there.

That is useful on its own. Most readers need nothing more.

02
Augmentation layer
The same relationship, at the scale of the framework

Asking a companion about a live decision and getting an answer built from real experience is the seed of something larger. The same relationship extends from one reader's bookshelf to an organisation's whole capital management framework — governance, assurance, requirement and delivery, augmented rather than replaced.

AutoniPlan and AutoniPrac are the next steps along that path.

How the foundational layer is built with integrity

The layer is only worth building on if what went into it is true. Every volume is written with Circino from the field experience of practising professionals, by the same four steps.

01
Interview

Circino interviews a founding contributor on one chapter's subject, one question at a time, against the criteria that chapter is built on.

02
Draft

It drafts their account from the transcript only — their project, their numbers, their language. Nothing is added that they did not say.

03
Review and edit

The contributor reads the draft, edits it directly, and decides how they are credited — named, initialled, or withheld.

04
Approve

They sign it off. Editors work on what has been approved, and a proof goes back before the edition locks.

Nothing is published without the contributor's sign-off, and it stays revocable until the edition is typeset. What ends up in print is field experience a named practitioner has read and stood behind — which is the only reason the diagnostics in these books hold up in a real board room.

The book

Five chapters on the parts of sponsorship nobody briefs you on: taking the role, defining the work, reading the reports, hearing bad news, and finishing properly.
